View Full Version : MPG without SGII?

My daily driver is a 1990 CRX. That is before any OBD hardware/software was used, so I have no way to hook an SGII (or SGI, if that exists! ;) ) up to my car.

However, I am a big fan of actually being able to measure results that I am trying to attain. Apart from the very infrequent feedback of filling up the tank (once per week or two, about every 300 miles) is there a decent way to determine my instantaneous or short-term MPG? That would help figure out what speeds to do my P&G, and what sorts of throttle settings I can use going up hills, and so on.

Thanks!

There is a supermid that a guy in japan sells. Someone on these forums bought it for his 94 del sol and seemed to have good results with it. I'm not sure how easy it is to wire it all up. I just try to get by with my vacuum gauge.
