I installed the OEM rear speakers this weekend and thought I would post pictures. It took less than one hour to do both sides with the most difficult part was trying to work in the limited space behind the seats. It would have made it much easier to remove the seats but may have taken a little longer. Tools required include a pen or marker, a phillips srewdriver and a razor blade or scissors.

Picture 1 is the stock cargo area with no speaker:

Picture 2 shows the template provided by Honda indicating the speaker position.

Picture 3 shows the location marked by using the template.

Very nice, Atlaw4u!! I might actually consider doing that to Blue Swayed someday now I've got such a nice picture journal of the process. :)

I just ordered the plastic brackets and covers from Honda, only like $20 I think. Used my own speakers and screws, no template required... of course it might not be *quite* as clean as your work since I had to muck around with the white junk a lot more and removed too much / got it all stuck together in a couple places.

You can't tell with the carpet back over it and speakers in place though. The rear speakers really help with the bass response, which is normally pretty abysmal with just the two 6.5"s in the front.

Are these rear speakers 6 1/2" as well?

Yes, the OEM rear speaker is the same size as the OEM door speaker.
