I was privileged get in on the last SGII group buy and have a few questions.

1. The SGII shows .014 gph with ICE off. Can this be corrected? If so how?
2. This may be a related issue but I am unsure if I can get better FE when traveling down a long step hill in gear rather than neutral? I think the term is 'Fuel Cut'. My vehicle is a '98 Mazda 626 (Auto). Does anyone know if the vehicle has this fuel cut feature?

What I have done is calibrate the SGII for distance (no GPS for the Speed) and it seems to be right on. Still on the 1st tank after installing the SGII. On the plus side, I seem to have increased my avg mpg from the last tank of 30.27 to 31.43 on 208 miles traveled this tank. Not a great inprovement but I believe there is still much more potential waiting to be found.;) Man these cold nights are killing my FE. That's about to change I as my EBH came in today! :Banane21: This will be my Saturday project.

Cheers,

Look @ what TPS reads @ warmed up idle. Set the CUTOFF for a value that is like 1 above that.

If ICE is off, your ECM is probably reporting the last value and there probably isn't a way to correct for that.

I'm guessing... but, your Mazda may be like my Toyota... in that it only briefly totally cuts off fuel when you release the accelerator and then goes to a minimal fuel usage. Setting the CUTOFF threshold should force the GPH to read 0.00 & your MPG to read 9999.

However, if you're car doesn't go into open loop during downhill decel, it may not work for you.

BTW, it isn't just the cold nights... its the winter fuel mix too.
