That is so true my father almost used his 240 in a decade(lol) but it worth treasuring. I use it sometimes and its very smooth on the road. The parts are sometimes out-of-production like the the Volvo 240 Clutch kit (http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/shop_parts/clutch_kit/volvo/240.html) and its difficult/hard to find, but its ok. I remember it took me a couple of days to find the Volvo clutch kit.
