... in the past few days. IIRC there were like 92ish members only Wednesday. The substantial talk over at GH about this site is no doubt drawing some glances here, especially from the membership there that is less interested in venting frustrations or wading through pages of smartalek retorts.

Keep on truckin' (in a figurative sense, of course ;) )

Yes, you are right. The "what happened to XCEL" thread lead me here. I had watched greenhybrid occasionally posting for about 1 year. I had "seen" XCEL and others there, got some useful info from XCEL in respect to our Pilot(think he had an MDX). I quit watching there about 3-4 months ago, for no particular reason, but I returned there about 3 weeks ago when I finally bought a Prius. I did notice that a bunch of frequent posters were gone. I wondered about that until the "what...XCEL" thread. Thanks,Charlie

Whatever happened to ... ?

Anybody know whatever happened to 'xcel' (Wayne) or 'lars-ss' (Larry)? They used to be quite prolific -- multiple posts per day -- buy I have not seen or heard from them in months.

Or 'electric troy' -- did he get booted off the island, or get fed up with heated discussions, or something of the sort?

I know that people come and go, but I was just curious why such frequent contributors seem to have dropped off the forum.

I hope someone mentions CleanMPG to lars-ss. Purely speculation, but he seemed more of the hypermiler type and might have tired of members that did not drive green.

I suppose I should have put this ( or can a mod merge it) with the previous thread here (starting to repeat information now). Sorry.

Related... concerning posting identical information here and at GH, even funnier when the same people respond in bothplaces to the same threads!
Not sure how much crosslinking is desired by the respectve owners/mods. We are getting a lot of the same posts by the same people (self included) here and at GH. The interesting part is watching the differing responses to the same post in the two different sites. I personally like it- like asking the same question to friends at work and friends at home, and comparing the results.

Lars doesn't appear active at GH anymore. He's not a mod anymore, either. Busy life/work.

I have no problems with people posting links to greenhybrid on this site. If its hybrid related and you have to choose which site to post on then post there. If its FE related then post here.

tbaleno, the relaxed attitude that you're taking to the site is absolutely beneficial to the members here. Thanks for setting up such a friendly place. :)
