Ok, so I completely stole this mod from Randall, so credit goes to him since its his idea. I stopped by the local tire store to see if they had any large truck inner tubes. They had one and it was from a tractor... it was filled with water so it took me 10 minutes to get all the water out of it
Look in your engine compartment where the wheel wells are. Huge holes there... Covering them up would keep some heat in the engine compartment! Basically I want to do the same thing as Randall except mount mine to the car with heavy duty velcro so its easy to get on and off.
Thanks Randall for the good idea that I stole ;) I'll post some pictures when I get done with the making of the covers.

Sorry for the long delay in posting pictures. the camera has been MIA ;)
Once again I'd like to give credit to Randall (highwater) for this mod. Thanks!
The draft blocker is made out of a truck tire innertube. I made a template out of newspaper and traced it onto the innertube which I cut out. Both sides are identical mirror images of each other so I only had to make one template and just flip it over for the other side.

Its attached with velcro and so far no issues with it wanting to come off.

No difference on my Coolant temps, but ~10 degree intake air temp increase.

the intake air temp increase is enough to justify the mod. i dont suppose you have a scan of the pattern???

No but I can make one for you. I'll work on that today.
EDIT: Hmmm... Its a touch bigger than an 8.5"x11" page. Plan B ;)

Full Size Scan (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v717/jamieboyd/DraftBlocker2.jpg)
Ok, you'll have to click on it to make it full size, then just copy and save the image to your hard drive. There were some area's that were off the edges, but actually thats not a bad thing. There is some excess rubber on mine and it hangs over where the velcro is.
Also, I've shaded in an area at the bottom in red.. you should add some material here to better reach the velcro. I added measurements to help somewhat. The scanner appears to have magically added some stuff to the side, which is ok since it actually works pretty good while holding up the actual draftblocker to the screen. I'd make a paper template first and cut it out.. although you'll probably have as easy a time lining everything up with paper as I did ;)
Also, when I tried to print it out on my printer... it scaled it down for some reason, so you'll have to come up with someway to make it print out actual size... Stupid windows :D
Oh and excuse the horrible photo editing.. I'm at my parents and I don't have photoshop here ;)

Great - I have been wanting to do this mod since temps have dropped dramatically here in Texas. However, I could not think what material to actually use.

Now I just have to locate a large inner tube.

Go to a truck tire shop. I went to one and asked if they had a tractor inner tube and they gave me one for free. I have Tons of it left over if you need some, I could cut out some and stick it in the mail.
