I just got my scangauge today and while I was putting in the car I decided to check and see if I had any codes. I do not have a CEL but there was a stored code and its number was 2000.
Anyone have an idea of what that number is associated with? I did a search in yahoo and couldn't find anything.

Uh oh.... :(
Well, there was no CEL and I haven't noticed anything weird, I just wanted to see if there were any codes in the computer. Strange that a cat code would be set but no CEL. I already reset it with the scangauge but if it comes back I'll take it to the dealership to see what they can do about it.
I still have my warranty so thats good. I think I read something about the ECM programing causing cat codes to show up early.
Are you saying that an aftermarket O2 sensor might correct the issue, or rather its not a cat issue but a sensor issue?

I got a notice Saturday from Honda for a "Product Update" for the ECM throwing false cat codes. There is a reimbursement form attached if you have paid for cat replacement.
I called the local dealer today and inquired. No codes were necessary and they ordered the ecm while I was on the phone. There is not a mileage restriction either. I told them I had 160,000 miles and he said it didn't matter. When will Honda's FREE repair ever end??????
