We'll I've been "off the wagon" for a while....for keeping track of my daily mpg that is.

Not sure if I have the wherewithall to get back to keeping track daily, so I have decided to take it one month at a time. We'll see how May turns out. My last tank of gas calculated at 72.3. A bit better than this time last year.

My carpooler hasn't ridden with me the last few days, giving me an opportunity to do a few more FAS than usual. Plus the other day I came into work mid day. Zero traffic and I could slow down even more.

My commute is 30 miles each way. Here are the morning and evening numbers.
AM - - - PM
73.0 - - - 85.3 (Rain in AM. PM was via an alternate route)
78.9 - - - 75.2
87.6 - - - 85.0
91.4 - - - 78.6 (came in mid day so AM # was high)
85.0 - - - 80.1
82.9 - - - 94.0 (tail wind in PM) CP
78.7 - - - 80.1 (PM was via an alternate route with rain.)
92.1 - - - 76.1 (AM was a tie for best ever. PM was via an alternate route running in town erands)
87.6 - - - 67.3 CP
78.0 - - - 78.0
87.6 - - - 74.0
78.6 - - - 74.7 CP
82.7 - - - 85.3
88.3 - - - 80.6
77.5 - - - 82.2
75.4 - - - CP
62.2 - - - 71.9 (Had heavy load in the back) CP
99.6 - - - 76.5 (PM via an alternate route.)
76.4 - - - 72.3 CP
91.1 - - - 74.4 (PM via an alternate route.)

Had one of my best trips into work today. 92.1.
It was 61 degrees and sunny.

Tomorrow weather is supposed to turn cold and rain.
They are predicting a high of 52 and there is a wind advisory.
North winds 15-30 mph winds gusting to 40.
That's gonna kill my mileage.

All time record! 99.6 MPG into work this morning!

I don't know what was so special about today. There must have been some tail wind. This is the highest mpg I have ever gotten on my daily commute. Up until about 1/2 mile from work I was still over 100 mpg. I had even saw 101 at one point.

The overall tank mpg is only sitting in the mid 70s though due to other low mpg non-work trips.

Just from you posting your info gives me the incentive to try to push a little harder.

Great job, you must be using all the tricks.

I can see a 100 mpg'er coming soon for you. Oh sooo close!

Eric,

You beat my PR(Personal Record - glossary entry please ;) ) by 4mpg!

This has got to hurt to be sooooo close to the century mark!

I used to track and record every tank, up until last fall in which I began recording them in a small spiral notebook. I had several tanks recorded before the notebook disappeared, and then sadly stopped calculating tanks.

So I had much of the winter untracked but judging from the FCD, and forsaking a few MPG's for the gauges sometimes inaccuracy guess about 58-59MPG for last winter.

Honestly there are a few changes to GH which I really don't agree with and is why I'm tending to migrate over to here. But please don't get me wrong- I don't mean to tear down GH as it remains a good site, and I'm obviously active on both places.

But then there's my participation in the GH database, which has not been updated since I began notebook tracking. That creates an inaccuracy and don't know if it's right or wrong but I've pretty much abandoned it.

I'm glad for the database here as well. A chance to start new.
