I need to run more power from my 12v to some accessories and want to run it directly from the batteries. I'm going to need about 150 to 200W for various things.

I plan on running 4 gauge to a bus with a bunch of 16 gague wires comming off to feed the various components.

Has anyone seen a bus bar or whatever you call it that can take in a 4g connection and feed to some 16s? I would prefer if it were covered and protected from anything accidentally shorting.

Check out this West Marine mountable bus (http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&classNum=753&subdeptNum=118&storeNum=9&productId=91530). The guy who wrote an article for my website used it when he did a battery relocation on his car. He was very happy with it. You can see pictures here (http://www.tercelreference.com/articles/battery_relocation/battery_relocation.html) (scroll about halfway down).

Went with this: http://www.northeastmarineelectronics.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2750

But you put me on the right track. The only difference is that this is fused.
