Had to fill up the Civic and the Accord today.

Civic 43 mpg. This was the last PHX trip tank. 600 miles even on this tank. I was on fumes when i rolled up to the pump.

Accord 34 mpg. This was a record tank in the making. But the wife drove it around town hauling arse every where she went so she blew out the last quarter tank.. I ended up at 535 miles. I could have got it over 600 miles no problem. :(

Well done! I suspect when I fill up my Taurus today, I'll have 440 miles on about 13.5 gallons. That gives me 32+ MPG, which for a domestic FE-eater, that ain't bad!

Too bad the rain today slowed me down a bit. Oh well, it beats sitting in all that traffic held up by the fires. Hooray for alternative back-country roads!

This morning I pumped 8.9 gallons in Lewisville, Texas - the largest fillup since buying my Insight in September 2000. Just got back from a marathon in Fort Collins, Colorado. Drove 1,889 miles, got nearly 61mpg driving the pack speed. Cost of trip: about $89 for 31 gallons. :)
