Hybrid sales doubled in 2005. Almost 200,000 new hybrids were driven off the lot. I was one of 7,781 US hybrid buyers in 2000.

Yup. I'm seeing more and more of them on the road.
BTW, we were discussing hybrids in the break room the other day. It seems that people are looking for reasons NOT to buy them. One guy kept insisting that the a/c stops at stop lights even when I said only certain models do that. Oh well.

There are more Prius on the road around here than anything else, which makes sense considering how many have been sold. I used to go "oh, cool!" when I saw one but now they pop up literally every day.

Other than the two Prii here at work, I am sure to see at least two Prii on the road on a daily basis. Even some of the rural farmers have purchase hybrids. One egg farm has a Prius, which belongs to the owner.
Hi All:
___Driving the Interstates around Illinois most days, I would have expected seeing 10 + a day. Even on my best day I only see 3 or so. Funny thing is I have never seen an HCH-II on the road until 2 days ago when 2 silver ones passed me by within 20 minutes of one another.
___Good Luck
