Not knocking the FEH but you cannot find them and I do not think the candidates have a choice other then to be seen in an 08 FEH/MMH nowadays?
WASHINGTON -- Ford Motor Co. is launching a presidential-style campaign, complete with advertisements in New Hampshire, '08 buttons and debate appearances.
No, Ford is not joining Oprah in backing a candidate.
The Dearborn automaker is campaigning for its Ford Escape Hybrid, touting in ads that a good share of the 2008 presidential candidates, including at least five Democratic candidates, are driving or are being driven in the Escape.
The automaker is even handing out campaign-style Ford Escape '08 buttons at upcoming presidential debates, including one in Dearborn next month.
"The choice is clear," Ford says in the ad. "More presidential candidates are choosing the Ford Escape Hybrid."
The ad starts appearing today in Washington, D.C., publications, including CongressDaily AM, CQ Today, Roll Call, The Hill and Politico.
Bruce Andrews, Ford's vice president of government relations, said the company was struck by the number of presidential candidates driving Ford Escape Hybrids.
"Candidates are trying to do two things," Andrews said. "They like driving cars made in America and they are all trying to show their green credentials. The Ford Escape is the perfect embodiment of both."

The Escape ads are part of a campaign it launched in June to improve the company's image.
On Tuesday, Ford ran the ads in the Concord Monitor and Manchester Union Leader.
