2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid – The sporty mid-sized hybrid sedan.
Want some sportiness to go along with your hybrid car?
People who own the new Altima Hybrid have the good fortune of getting all the fuel economy benefits of a hybrid along with the driving fun that comes with every Altima -- base, hybrid or otherwise.
The base price is $24,400 -- and that includes a lot of equipment: anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, electric rack and pinion steering, battery charge indicator, vehicle information display, full-power equipment, cruise control and tilt telescoping steering column.
The only options on my test car were floor mats and a convenience package, which brought the price to $26,415 … Except for a small digital gauge on the dash, you aren't bombarded with graphs, bar charts and other displays that give you more information than you are ever likely to need about the hybrid system's operation.
