Hi All:

___Just thought I would pass this one on as the least informative review I may have ever read?

Altima Hybrid mixes fun, fuel economy.

Want some sportiness to go along with your hybrid car? (http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07235/811429-97.stm?cmpid=business.xml)

2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid – The sporty mid-sized hybrid sedan.

Want some sportiness to go along with your hybrid car?

People who own the new Altima Hybrid have the good fortune of getting all the fuel economy benefits of a hybrid along with the driving fun that comes with every Altima -- base, hybrid or otherwise.

The base price is $24,400 -- and that includes a lot of equipment: anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, electric rack and pinion steering, battery charge indicator, vehicle information display, full-power equipment, cruise control and tilt telescoping steering column.

The only options on my test car were floor mats and a convenience package, which brought the price to $26,415 … Except for a small digital gauge on the dash, you aren't bombarded with graphs, bar charts and other displays that give you more information than you are ever likely to need about the hybrid system's operation. Some of the displays on other hybrid cars are so colorful and bewildering that they can become a distraction … http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07235/811429-97.stm?cmpid=business.xml

I remember us collectively wondering about the best way to
read the spotty instrumentation in grendelkhan's NAH when he
brought it to our li'l gathering (http://techno-fandom.org/~hobbit/cars/nepg-0707/) last month. Maybe the easiest
way is to throw an SG into it..

My question is: If he knows that he's not bright enough to figure out the Prius display, where does he get off advising others about cars?

I REALLY wish I had that Prius display. Thank God for the SG! My main problem with not having the Prius display, is that I don't know where the right place is for the Glide. I know ABOUT where it is, but...

Waaah! My car's gauges are sooo complicated! Can I just have a Hello Kitty picture instead?

Ahhh...

Just kidding folks. Whoever animates the Prius nomograph first will have a hot seller.
