You may recognize my logon name from the Greehybrid.com forum. Name is Bill and have been enjoying my 05 FEH FWD for about 20 months now here in Livonia, Michigan. I have learned a great deal from user GaryG and others that are also posting here while on the other site. I hope to add to the info. Thanks

Thanks for joining us. Many of us also post on GreenHybrid. The site was started because GreenHybrid was never ment to be a FE sight and we wanted a site with a clear focus on mileage and as a haven for those who want to talk about more advanced techniques.

Hey Bill
Great to have you here. As you may know, still working with Wayne and this group to find ways to improve the FEH FE.
Bill helped me clean up my first MTE photo on GH and placed it back on GH much clearer. Smart guy and he will be another great asset to cleanMPG. Bill is someone who takes time to help others and deserves a warm welcome here.

Hi Bill:
___And yet another welcome! I hope we can help you find your own FEH’s max FE capability that Gary has so kindly been showing us the way over the past year or so :D
___To go along with the above and with Gary’s endorsement, you are not just welcome, you are also a part of a growing community trying to help/teach others to improve their own FE and lowering emissions in not only the FEH but most any other automobiles we may drive on a daily basis.
___I cannot wait to hear of your own FE improvements in your FEH as time moves forward. The FEH is by far the best hybrid SUV/Truck on the planet if I do say so myself ;)
___Good Luck
___Wayne

Thanks for the welcome. I have already gone from a 30 mpg FEH last summer to a 37mpg one so far this year. I litterly live 2 blocks from I-275 and used to take that route to Southfield from Livonia every day for the last 25 years. That was an 18 mile trip. I have found a surface street route that takes just about the same travel time but is only 13.5 miles and a 40 mph commute. The problem with the other route was that I was forced to get up to freeway speeds before the vehicle had a chance to warm up. I am expecting a 40+ Mpg Summer this year:D .

That's a great point about the change in route. The same has happen to me and I think I'll start a new thread on that subject.
Once you start getting use to the tricks and stay focused on driving, things will get easier for 40mpg. The current trip and tank mpg average on the scangauge are great screens to watch. I keep it on tank average most of the time. The tank before the one I'm on, stayed above 57mpg for over 200 miles and finished at 54.9mpg, but it wasn't empty. Had to hurry on a few trips this tank and having a hard time getting out of the 46-47mpg average tank reading. You will look back at your old post 6 months from now and find just how much you've improved like I have seen.
It's great to see the AWD owner's near the 40's mpg range!
