I have a race tuner on my Streetbob. Shouldn't I be able to use it to tune my AF mixture to save fuel? Anyone know anything about this? I aske a mechanic at my Harley dealer last time I brought it in for a tune up but he only knew how to tune them one way.
I dont know what type of tuner you are talking about, I have no experience modifying bikes
however if you were to buy a tuner for a car (the principals will be the same) and the tuner is able to adjust your air fuel ratio, yes you could lean the motor out. This gets tricky though because if you pull too much fuel you will create a lean condition and the motor will most likely start running hot and you will have the potential for some serious damage
hope that helps, do you have a link to the product you bought?
