Chuck 08-15-2007, 01:22 PM This is a quick and dirty cut and paste of my drive two years ago...planning to drive the 19-mile highway up Pikes Saturday and run the marathon Sunday.

About 7,000 feet at the start of the 19-mile drive up.

Already 9,000 feet up.

About 10,000 feet - pavement ends.

About 12,000 feet - clearly above the timberline.
