MADISON, Wis. -- The nation's best hypermilers -- people who try to maximize their gas mileage -- will meet today in Madison to compete in Hybridfest's second annual MPG Challenge. They will drive about 30 miles, with the winner measured by best mileage.
Jerad Parish, a 26-year-old software programmer, is expected to be a contender. He averaged 80 miles per gallon on a recent trip. AP
