I love hypermiling!! Now that I have that out of the way I want to see peoples hot rides. I would love to see what mods people have made to their cars or any cool stickers.

And now for something completely different. I don't think I would get any more curiousity from fellow motorists if I were driving a Lamborgini down the highway. But the results of the mods are worth putting up with all of the rubbernecking. 90mpg @ 65mph @88F @ 500ft elevation on a smooth, flat road.

The secret to dark tint is all in the angle of the pic ...it really isn't as dark as it looks. Ooooh you can't have the front windows tinted at all ? !! Now thats just plain wrong !

The Prius gets washed every other month. The 24V Mower is one day old and is already dirty. You can just see part of my 18V Weedeater to the far left of the first picture.

Now THAT's a car. If only cars today were built so well, and had half as much personality...

...my Focus is going to be the last modern car I own.

I'd post some pics of my car, but I have never found an image hosting service that was even close to satisfactory...some didn't even send the confirmation email, so I'm done with image hosting services.

Well, okay. I'll pull out one from July 2003 -- one month short of its 1st birthday. The car looks the same today -- except there is a big ol' SG1 on the dash by the steering wheel. ;) (Love LOVE that thing!!)

One guess which one's mine:

Tom, I forgot you had all those sound system mods... wish I had checked them out at Hybridfest. I've done a few to mine as well.

My ride goes from 0 to 88mpG in -1,640,995,200 seconds.... When I reach 88mpg I'm suddenly in 1955. ;)

CleanMPG has server space for images. Just click on "Gallery" at the top of the page and click "Upload Photos" toward the top and on the right side of the page. It will walk you through the process, no hosting service needed.

Try to make it up to a milwaukee hybrid group meeting when I go. Or maybe a Chicago Prius group meeting. Just make sure I'm going so you don't waste your time coming up. Not that the meetins aren't worth coming up for on their own, but killing two birds with one stone is always ideal.

Where do I send the cookie? Yup -- you got it! It isn't anything special. No sun roof or nice stereo, or rims... Just cruise and some mudflaps. You'd never know what it is capable of just looking at it. This car does coast way better than anything else I've driven so far -- in fact that was the first thing I noticed (after the extra power compared to my '95 of course) when I test drove it.

I was always into the idea of a "Sleeper" -- you know, a car that looks stock but has ridiculous performance? I've sort of got that now except the performance is FE instead of HP. Most people would never believe I get mileage a lot closer to a Metro than an Elantra. ;)

Must be special some how ...or you wouldn't be able to get the FE you do ! It is a pretty impressive car you have in my eyes . Does it really matter if you have the latest doo-dads and other foofooraw attached - Not in the least bit .
Sleepers are the best kind . I had all kinds of visions of modding up the Focus , but after the exhaust (dealer hooked me up as he knew I was hard of hearing...;))and the mudflaps - I really see no reason that I *have* to.
Now about that cookie ?! :p No worries mate ...

Finally got a shot. Nothing much. Base model DX, manual everything. Stock steel 13" rims with some cheap $10 covers.

153,000 miles on her, and I plan on going a lot farther still.

This time of year, definitely a hot ride!

I get about 18mpg out of the 4wd Silverado when I'm towing and the boat get's about 3mpg at WOT.
The boat is a hybrid, gas/electric.

I built that bridge my self.

Hybrid boat...that gave me a chuckle. I hadn't really considered it but I guess a trolling motor does make it a PHEV. I wish it were that simple for our land-based craft!
