I've written some extensive articles on methods to improve MPG. They are published on other sites. One is my own domain with no advertising at all. Can I post a link to that site?

One is my own domain with no advertising at all. Can I post a link to that site? xcel 07-18-2007, 06:18 PM Hi Gasman_Jim: ___Why not just post it. With the following caveat and no fault of your own … From the results you posted in your intro thread, they are not all that impressive for the folks around here. The 260 HP 03 Acura MDX (EPA 17/23) allowed 37 back and forth to work just the other day at speeds exceeding the local limits of 55 and 65 mph as well as the 03 Ranger P/U (24/29) knocking out the occasional 50 + mpg segment (last night was one) which has all the aerodynamic qualities of a sheet of Plywood perpendicular to the wind. Hyundai Elantra's at 55 +, Ford Focus' and Civic's in the high 50's, Prius punching out 80 back and forth to work, Insight’s at 90 - 105 +, HCH-I’s and II’s in the mid 60’s and low 70’s, FEH’s in the mid to high 40’s … Just follow the daily grind threads for a few days and you will see stuff that will blow you away. ___I am only posting this to let you know what you are up against. Yes, we do drive non-hybrid’s, P/U’ trucks, SUV’s, diesels and a lot of hybrids. Yes we do drive above the limits although I discourage that practice as much as humanly possible and we do not close-in much but will distant, surf and traffic side until the cows come home as does everybody else which is the reason for DWB in heavy traffic. Finally, the results you can achieve can be truly outstanding no matter what you drive if you want them to be. ___Everybody here applauds your prowess in the Audi but lets step it up a notch or two and really start the process to a more sustainable future for our children following in our footsteps. That Audi is worth at least 40 when pushed and it would be nice to see you pick it up and keep her there through at least the summer months … ___Good Luck and Thanks! ___Wayne brick 07-18-2007, 06:49 PM That Audi is worth at least 40 when pushed and it would be nice to see you pick it up and keep her there through at least the summer months … Ehh, let's start with a consistent 30 and work from there. ;) Audi tends to make their cars very slick through the air which is a big plus on the highway. But as he said in the other post they tend to be quite heavy. 24-30 is about what I averaged in the Volvo, which is probably comparable. You may as well post the articles as long as you are OK with the fact that you will get some constructive criticism. We don't know everything by any stretch of the imagination but this place is kind of like a laboratory in some respects. A lot of technique has been developed and proven while quite a bit of common "knowledge" has been debunked. But new perspective is good, so please don't take this to be discouragement. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
