My wife and I took our youth group to a conference in Orlando. Starting near Dallas, it was 2,250 miles round trip. These are high school youth, so they're not small. Also luggage. We drove with the cruise control set at 70 and used the AC the whole time.
Fortunately, we ended up with only 4 of them, plus the two of us. One more and we would have used the church's 15-seat E-350 van, for maybe 12mpg!
2,250 miles, 24.0 mpg.
