Any other 3.4l owners on here? johnf514 07-09-2007, 02:44 PM Hey there 350f - welcome to Clean MPG! The "Am's" should be relatively easy to hypermile. I had a '99 Camaro that I could eek 31-32 MPG (5MT) out of no problem. No jack-rabbit starts, DWL, DWB, tires to max sidewall cold, ICE-off at lights, P&G, FAS . . . Check it out: http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/articles/t-beating-the-epa-the-whys-and-how-to-hypermile-1510.html 350f 07-09-2007, 06:19 PM Thanks! I glanced at that earlier, but i've been at work all day and just wanted to sign up real quick. First off, the Trans Am is my weekend cruiser, that I actually have only driven 2 times in the last 3 months. :( So gas mileage isn't something I even worry about with that. My Grand Am on the other hand, I drive to work everyday. Its about 11 miles or so each way, mostly highway. But I'm the "IT guy" for my company and have to drive to our other locations and fix computers all the time. So its usually another 10-20 miles of city driving everyday. I also drive to my grandparents on the weekends...about 45 miles round trip straight hwy...to ride my 4 wheeler at their place. But since I started reading on the site the last couple weeks I've been more aware of my driving habits and have managed almost 26mpg. I'm hoping to pull off 30mpg with my normal routine. I 99% of the time keep it under 2000rpms when accelerating. I also try and set cruise control as much as possible at the speed limit. A lot of times I'll knock it into neutral when going downhill or any chance I get to coast. I read your suggestions, but I don't know what the acronyms are. :o Maybe you could spell it out for me  Thanks! ATL 07-09-2007, 09:09 PM Andy, It's great to see someone here from www.fastlouis.com concerned about their driving habits. as for the terms, here is the glossary... http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/glossary.php?do=listglossary&c=1 deffinetly check out the thread that john linked above, it'll explain a lot of the why's and how's 350f 07-10-2007, 09:11 PM Yay, I pulled of 27mpg on this tank. I also went and bought a K&N air filter and a new fuel filter today(57k miles and still factory fuel filter I beleive). I put the k&n in, i'll probably do the fuel filter tomorrow and with a little more grandma-ish driving, i'm hoping for 30mpg this tank. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
