Heh. Well, while I don't hate Rush as much as most of you, I do think he is getting more nutty than he used to be (maybe there is some hope for me yet). I expect he like all these other shock jocks don't care at all what they are saying and are only saying it to get people emotional. Like I said before, every response, either good or bad to these shows are more content for his show.
The best thing to do is boycott the show and say something about his show on a site that holds your point of view. By doing that you draw traffic from his site to the other site. So find another site that has reported on the story and post about it there rather than to respond on his website or his radio stations website.

For those of us who are serious about this topic, it's frustrating that these types of lies have to be continually swatted. They are "zombie" lies, and hard to kill.
You can bet that Rush does not care one way or another about the truth. His line of thinking goes like this:
(1) The Prius is a status symbol in left-wing Hollywood
(2) Rush has contempt for Hollywood
(3) A favorite pasttime is pointing out the hypocritical nature (real or imagined) of Hollywood types who do not practice what they preach
That's it. That's as far as it goes. It shouldn't be frustrating figuring out why the lie will continue. Today, Prius = political..........and the truth is always up against a tough fight in the political arena.
For Rush, fossil fuels & terror & climate change & all the rest simply do not impact his cigars, brandy, prostitution jaunts to the Dominican Republic, or any other wholesome aspects of his life. He simply does not care, except for the part that plays well politically & emotionally.

The kind of conservatism I bought into years ago was limited government that helps everybody - what we have now looks more like the better off taking advantage of the rest of the population....over time there will be a backlash - maybe to the other extreme.
At any rate, Rush is either duped by Dust to Dust, or simply does not care.

A guy who calls a 13 year old girl a dog on national TV simply does not care.
