A mining company with no experience in residential developments is going to start big -and green. A plot of land will be developed just west of Salt Lake City, twice the size of San Francisco. They are supposed to be "walkable" communities.
Kennecott's whole plan calls for 162,800 houses in neighborhoods mixing the wealthy and middle class in shared communities of gardens, pocket parks and surrounding open space

It will be interesting how many bike trails and WalMarts will be in this community when it is done.
