Yep today was fill up day for the Civic and the Accord. Not as good as I would have liked. :( Wind has been killing me. Some tail wind. Mostly head winds and some cross winds. Winds have been a steady 15 to 20 mph. Its been a nightmare. Temps have been 50's 60's in the morning and 70's 80's in the afternoon. Both cars tank where full fill ups. topped off to Mr. Xcels standards. ;) Tire psi is at max side wall on both cars. The Accord is running fresh M1 0w-20. The Civic is on fresh 5w-20 M1.
Accord 25% city, 75% Hwy. 588 miles, 15.8 gal. 37.2 mpg. 32 lmpg
Civic 20% city, 80% hwy. 606 miles, 13.9 gal. 43.6 mpg. 38.9 lmpg
High lites of these tanks.
I suffered a hypermiling injury. >>> Nothing Soma and whiskey cant fix. :D
The winds have been awful. They have been blowing like this for two months or better. When its a 104F here there wont be a puff to be found. So there is hope.
Scangauge is the best automotive tool Ive ever bought. Period! Its results where not spot on,,, but very close. I used the SG solid for a tank in the Civic. It nest's well there as my mother would say. :p
OD / Trip A where spot on at 606 miles, SG 608miles.
Hand calc's 43.6 mpg. SG showed 45.5 mpg for the tank.
More than close enough to be used as a wonderful tool!
So there it is. Theres better to come. OOO and yes there was some redline action in there on both cars. man cant live on Fas alone. :D
