I'm still at a little less than half a tank at 250 miles. I'm still good til next week.

I'll have to fill up no matter what. Tomorrow will be another 60 miler, and the day after is 100+ -- kinda dreading the price I'll see at the pump but feeling pretty good about getting in the neighborhood of 600mi on the tank!!

If I have to. I'm down to the last pip on the gauge. If it starts blinking on the way home, I'm not risking it.

I should fill up just to piss off the gullible morons who believe chain emails.

I fill up nearly every weekday and 5/15 will be no exception.
That's how I track my mileage in this car that's seven years too early for a ScanGauge.

Besides, the "gas-out" is bunk.
A real boycott is to refuse to use the product - not just shifting when you buy it.

I should fill up just to piss off the gullible morons who believe chain emails. :mad:That's one thing I don't understand - people that pass chain mails. I left a place of work, gave my email to a friend....250 chain mails - no personal messages....is this anyway to keep in touch? :( I finally suggested to her the network admin might be looking at the chain mails.

At another site, a member started the Gas Out thread to promote it, and he keeps it alive. Finally told him this is the umteenth cycle of this since the 1970's and has never worked - challenged him to provide links proving Gas Out days worked in the past. As far as I'm concerned, promoting the Gas Out Day is troll behavior.

Nope, not unless I were to get like 7 MPG on my driving today. :D

ditto. But I'm just under a half a tank. I've got another 200 or so miles to go for my next fill up.

Hopefully, I have another 200 miles myself....then I will use my Shell Credit card for the 1st time and get $10 off. :)

i have about 325 on my tank, at half, so i have a long way to go. i did, however, frequent a gas station TWICE today.....once for coffee on the way to work, and at lunch just to grab a quick sandwich, since i was short on hours for the day. i made sure i parked where my 60MPG sticker was visible

Well, I filled up yesterday thinking prices may go up today and because I didn't want to spend more than $40 to fill it up.

Well, prices dropped 4 cents over night so any thought of them jacking up the price the day after the boycott can probably be dismissed. I will have to see next year if the same thing happens.

I just gave the "Boycotting for one day accomplishes nothing -- it has to be sustained to do any good -- do something to permanently reduce gas consumption!" spiel to the guys at work when one of them asked if anyone filled up yesterday.

Hope it does some good! :flag:

Time was when forwarding any internet chain letter,
regardless of reason or rationale, was immediate grounds
for losing your access. Period, full stop, no questions.
The multiplying effect was just too risky, so every
administrator knew that they needed to enforce hard policy
about it.
.
Now, nobody gives a crap.
.
Who let these idiots on our nice cozy network??
