Hello to MiHG, MHG and CPG members and friends,
It’s spring, baseball is on and the 4th annual Hybrid Gathering at Miller Park is ready to go. This year’s event will be held on Sunday June 3rd at 1:05 pm with a game between the Brew Crew and the fishy Florida Marlins. This game will be a great chance to see the Brewers play some great baseball but in addition this game will be Prince Fielder Bobble Head day. All this means is that the game may be a sellout so great hybrid exposure.
Some of the basic facts are that you’ll get a Terrace Reserve ticket, a hot dog and a soda all for $10 per person. You’ll be on your own for parking this year which will be $8. We’ll start to gather at the Culvers on Highway 100 at about 9am with registration and an informal meet, in addition to VTP’s (Vehicle Tire Pressure). At about 10:30am we’ll then proceed, in the largest hybrid procession in history, to Miller Park where we will again gather for a tailgate party. We’ll party until game time then continue our camaraderie inside the park to watch the Crew beat the Marlins. Please bring food, beverages, chairs and grills for those in your party. As usual we will have fabulous door prizes and perhaps other surprises too.
What we ask is that you send us an email indicating your intentions on participating and how many $10 tickets you’ll need. In addition let me know the type of vehicle you’ll be bringing and we’ll need your return address too. We’ll send you your tickets straight away. Please make the checks out to Bradlee Fons at N37 W26899 Kopmeier Drive, Pewaukee WI. 53072-2340. Please act early so we can get more tickets if we need to.
This is the first joint event of the Milwaukee Hybrid Group, Madison Hybrid Group and the newly formed Chicago Prius Group and should be our largest. This event is designed to allow family and friends to enjoy a ballgame and to learn about hybrids and enjoy the camaraderie of one of our meets.
This should be the largest hybrid gathering until the BIG ONE….Hybridfest 2007, so act early. You do not need a hybrid vehicle to attend, just enthusiasm and the love of the Game and an interest in hanging with some hypermilers. More details will come soon.
Thanks for all your support and encouragement and we look forward to seeing you at the Hybrid Gathering at Miller Park.
