So after several months of not riding, I got my Harley back on the road this fall. It's grown a little colder lately, so I haven't ridden as much again, but after knocking 6 months' non-riding rust off of my skills, I wanted to see if there were any new FE-boosting skills or products out there since the last time I asked. My current commute is yielding about 48,5mpg on my Harley. It consists of:

Apx. 11 miles each way. First 6 miles are a slog through town on a relatively busy road with frequent stupid stoplights, PSL goes from 45 on the first 2 miles, to 35 on the next 4 miles. There is a 25mph school zone on one section. After the grind through town, it opens up to a 4-mile blast down a 55 PSL 4-lane state highway. There is one section relatively early on which is a 35mph school zone. The last part is a smidge under a mile on the airport throughway with no thoroughly enforced speed limit, I usually get to 40ish before grabbing neutral and cruising into the parking lot.

Don't ask me, my best tank on my Softail was 42.* and my last was 36.4. When spring reaches these parts I will see if I can do better.
