Let's take a failed 80's car and shove an electric motor in it.

Hey,that "failed 80's car" meant a lot to geeks of a certain age ! And updating(replacing) the PRV engine which was weak when the car was introduced makes a lot of sense.
I'd almost buy one. Almost.
its one of the beauties of electrics, simple enough that even high school kids can make a go of it. Expect lots and lots of niche companies springing up.

This might be the proper engine the Delorean needed from the beginning.
The PRV engine was a real slug.

I loved the look of that car when I was a kid. I was so disappointed to read how little power it actually had.
I wonder if this company has any plans of truly updating the car or they are only putting electric motors in existing cars? I guess it would have to be a whole new car to pass modern safety standards.
