Howdy all. My name is Duncan. I'm 19.
I currenty drive a '93 BMW 325i, and after reading an article about hypermiling (cant remember where....) I have been obsessing on obtaining excelent MPG. My mom recently sold her beloved LandCruiser do to MPG, and around the same time my dad got rid if his Trooper in favor of a '98 Jetta TDI.
Thats about it. I will post more info in the "Start yout journey" forum.

Thanks. I have a feeling that I will be in very good company here. :)
My dad loves his Jetta. My mom is currently car-less, but wants a Mercedes E-320 wagon (kids and all... otherwise I am sure she'd get some crazy small, efficient car... she is as much of an MPG fanatic as myself, wheras my dad simply felt like sticking it to the oil companies and is eventually going veggie. :D )

Welcome to CleanMPG!
I'm sure there's good potential in hypermiling the Bimmer; you'll do well.
Hi Kingsley:
___Welcome aboard and it sounds like your Bimmer is well equipped w/ an i and aFCD from your other post which is a great start! To hear of a 19 year old trying to change for all our sakes is something very noteworthy and I congratulate you for even considering it. Start with the basics and work your way to the advanced stuff slowly and carefully. I am sure your 325i handles like a rocket on rails but I don’t think the Bavarian engineers had any idea you would be pushing their engineering into the direction you are or will be soon ;) Just read and practice out on empty open roads and you should be fine afterwards when applying some of what you have learned in progressively heavier traffic … Please be cautious however as there is no need to get anybody messed up for the sake of a few hundreds to thousands of gallons.
___Good Luck and welcome to CleanMPG!
