GM VP Bob Lutz states the Bush Administraon plan to increase FE until fleet average is about 35mpg in 2018 will add 5-6K to the sticker price. His alternative proposal (pardon the pun) is E85.
I'd sooo love to be a Senator questioning him about this and compare what his company has done vs Toyota and Honda.
