Hi, I am looking at a 2005 civc hybrid. The car has 96,xxx miles, and have the cvt automatic transmission. My main questions are is the IMA system still covered under any warranty in ohio, and is there any warranty still available for the cvt transmission. Also is the CVT in the 2005 as problematic as the 2003? Is this vehicle worth $7000 with these miles and a CVT? In the pictures the battery gauge is almost completely charged.
Thanks,
Zach

The price doesn't sound bad. On Autotrader, most are around $8k to $9k. Drive it and make sure the transmission is smooth and quiet. There shouldn't be any growling or juddering. If you're interested, make an offer lower to start negotiations.

Welcome to the site!
I think the warranty was 8yrs/80K miles on those vehicles so you wouldn't have a warranty still available on the powertrain.
Manuel is our resident expert on Honda hybrids and IIRC he mentioned that some changes were made during the model years, but nothing substantial. As Mike says, test it out and if it is smooth you should be okay as long as you do frequent CVT fluid changes.
