I mentioned in one of the "Daily Grind" threads that Michael (Skwyre7), Chris (VaBeachPrius), and I met up recently for dinne (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showpost.php?p=22428&postcount=91)r. I finally got the pics uploaded so you folks can see three great-looking cars and one good-looking guy. Michael, that is. :) (I haven't heard back from Chris yet to OK posting his pic.)
The quality's lousy because it was getting dark and I had the flash off. Plus it was starting to rain, so there may have been some droplets on the lens.
Three happy Prii side-by-side. (http://www.cleanmpg.com/photos/data/500/medium/Virginia_Prii.jpg)

Hi Jim:
___Great to place a name with a nick! Hello to Michael as well!
___I see you still have your trim rings installed and Michael doesn’t. We need to work on him about the .15 mpg increase with the aero treatment vs. without ;)
___Are you possibly interested in starting up a Virginia Hybrid Group? It is a lot of work to get one started but I am sure there are more then a few hybrid owners in your area that would love to get together once every 2 months or so for all things Hybrid related?
___Good Luck
___Wayne

Good morning, Wayne. Michael and I have actually talked about a Prius group meet -- nothing fancy, probably a meet, greet, eat (of course), and sharing of tips and techniques. It would not be exclusive to Prius -- we would welcome owners of other hybrids -- but we figured we should start small and aim for a target audience we could most easily reach and help. And I personally don't want to bite off more than I can chew, logistically at least.
I've started to peek at other groups' meetup announcements to see how they do theirs. We might have an inside track of sorts with promotion: One of the local TV stations has a Prius (maybe more) for its news reporters.
Frankly, I'm not in a position time-wise to try to do much more than announce and facilitate an informal meetup on occasion. Between my work, my bride to be, and my kids, I'm rather busy. Maybe after we start getting together someone else will step forward.
Thanks always for your words of encouragement!

Well, I'll 'fess up to the license plate, but someone else Photoshopped your trim rings before the pic was taken.:)
