The Joy of driving or operating a vehicle is rare. Bad traffic, expensive gas prices, anger with other drivers, no parking spaces, red lights, traffic jams, back seat drivers, big base radio noises, horns blowing, wheels squealing, big crashes, bad rain and snow weather, sliding on ice and traffic tickets make it hard to be joyful on the road. To top it off, you must buy the car, pay for insurance, tax, tag and interest and deal with a car salesman who is in most cases, trying to take you for what he can. The service department finds no problems that you report. If they find the problem, it takes longer to repair and returns are delayed. With all of this, I love driving my FEH, it is a joy to drive. This is history, what do you think?

I agree. I love my civic. Its the best car I've ever owned. There is nothing about it that I don't like. There are things that could be improved, but those things would just be icing on the cake.

i started hating my car ever since I learned about hybrids, but ever since i learned about hypermiling I love driving more than ever. I simply can't wait to unleash the potential of my car... but it would be nice to have something better always ;) well that's what school is for!
There are tons of teenagers just driving normally on their first car and a lot of them want to save gas but don't know how. Hopefully maybe hypermiling would shed the light on these poor folks and see a new experience everytime you get behind the wheel.

I enjoy driving until, like this morning, I get some crack addict in a Buick a foot from my bumper beeping his horn and flashing his lights (I assume, couldn't see them) because I'm only doing the limit instead of 10 over on a road that can't be more than a mile and a half long. I enjoy it still less when said crack addict decides to pass on the double yellow and only gives me ~2 inches of room between side mirrors. Insult is added to near injury when the local cop is found at the end of the road sitting in a parking lot watching the trees and the bushes.
On the rare day that I don't encounter someone like that I do enjoy driving. Unfortunately those days are few and far between.

I suggest you never step foot into the 8th gen Civic, because you'll be on your way to your dealer shortly thereafter :D

I had a 1988 CRX HF with nearly 250,000 miles on it before someone totaled it. A very bad tune up four years before that nearly killed it then, yet it kept running.
I have had my 2000 5-speed Insight 5.5 years and 95,000 miles. Only recently have I had a major problem - replacing the battery pack. It's done exceptionally well, considering the cars I've had and treatment that was not always the best.

I've seen the 8thgen and sat in it. Its not bad. If I were getting one today I would get the 8thgen. However, the trunk space seems smaller than the 7thgen, and the inside isn't that much bigger (may even be smaller as well). I'm sure I could go in to EV a lot during my commute with it, but that aside it realy doesn't offer much that I would be interested in over the 7thgen I have now.
