Normally I ride my recumbent trike to school, but Thursday is my driving day and I also had to do some shopping after. I was waiting at an intersection and there was a Jeep who pulled up behind me. When the light turned green, I started accelerating and right away he was on my tail. I got up to a little over the PSL of 30mph (~32mph) and he continued to tailgate me. I held my speed for about 5-10 secs to see if he would back off, then slowed to 25mph to increase our safety margine and to try to let him know that he was too close. He was already so close I could not see his headlights. Most tailgaters usually back off after I slow down, but he got even closer. The one thing that I usually do but never did was throw on the hazards for a few seconds, but I don't think it would have made any difference. A few moments later he crossed over the double yellow and passed. The funny thing is, about a 1/2 mile down the road, guess who was waiting at the red light?

Yep, 9 times out of 10 they are waiting for you at the next light. It's even more fun to time the light so you glide past them as it turns green.:D:D

It's really fun to do that 10 lights in a row with the same car! And they still don't get it - just get mad instead.

I believe that driving is a rolling IQ test.

My last great jeep sighting was watching some kid lose control of his on a dead straight, dead flat road in a half inch of snow. I assume he wanted to impress his girlfriend or whatever by driving fast but ended up tank-slapping his way back and forth across the empty road until coming to a stop. Impressed me!
