A VW Passat driver called Car Talk on an acceleration problem. The driver explained the Passat accelerated even when he let his foot off the accelerator. :eek: :eek: :eek: What he did driving the nest ten miles was the highest speed Pulse and Glide I've heard of: from 50 to 90 - way too fast.
I need to stress nobody obviously would ever recommend this here, but it was a funny story since he survived. Click explained that the electronics control acceleration on most modern cars and it was defective on his Passat.
