I was talking to one of the officeworkers at my apartment complex. She has a 3 year old Hyundai Santa Fe 2WD. She is becoming increasingly unhappy with the recent fuel price shenanigans. When I brought home my HCH2 a few months ago, she was extremely impressed with it. Now she says next year she wants me to help her purchase a Ford Escape Hybrid 4WD. She also mentioned that one of the renters who got a good look at my ride is seriously considering an HCH2.
Now technically, I haven't gotten anyone to buy a hybrid yet, but I did get people to seriously consider a purchase. I'll let you know if I pull off a sale.
So how many people have you brought into The Revolution? :)

Well I have not converted anyone but it seems like I have given people someone to talk to about hybrids. :)
When people realized I bought this car they have asked me all sorts of questions about the Civic model and about the hybrid technology which is fine by me.
A lot of people seem to equate a Civic with some cheap econobox so when I tell them how pleased I am with it they are kind of surprised. Plus when I talk about mileage I mention that it is really dependent on the driver and a big factor is the speed driven.

I'm slowly trying to get my parents to consider a hybrid of some sort when they replace their minivan in a year or two. They get links to articles here and elsewhere when I find something particularly informative. (Constantly. :) )
My girlfriend hears about my gas mileage a bit more often than she would like. It's alright, though. She was riding shotgun when I had my best tank to date last summer (nearly 37mpg) and nearly quit breathing when I showed her the number. Odds are she will be receptive to learning some of the technique once I feel competent enough to start passing along good knowledge.

Well now that you mention it, two. One of my wife's partners and my boss both bought a 2005 Prius. Before seeing mine, they were not even considering a hybrid.

I'm more of converting people to change their driving habits. One person at a time...
If I had to give a number so far I'm working on three.
