$6500 is TOO MUCH- hence the no sale on Ebay.

For twice that you can buy a NEW Focus,Fiesta,Corolla and in the not too distant future there will be Cruzes discounted to $13,000-$14000. You can buy a Smart for $11000. Granted these cars get only 65% of the FE of an Insight.
The fuel savings 35 mpg vs 70 mpg- is just $400/yr
200 gallons( $800/yr at $4 and 7000 miles)) vs 100 gallons( $400/yr at 7000 miles/yr)

The only folks interested in buying an Insight are folks on this forum or another FE type forum. These cars-Insights- have no warranty.Yes used is ALWAYS cheaper TCO than new. But new is more reliable, safer and more versatile-smells "new" also.

The seller needs to take much less if he actually wants to sell it. There are too many good FE cars available now that are much much more versatile.
The lack of VERSATILITY (not much Home Depot potential) is why Honda killed the Insight. Very few buyers-all of whom are probably members of this forum.

Don't pay too much.

Hi Lxmike:

I have to agree with Charlie on this one. Way way to much for an Insight with that many miles and from a decade ago. I love the saving of fuel but you are sacrificing a ton of safety, comfort, utility, warranty, reliability and drivability for the once king of the road Honda Insight 5-speed at that price. Insight's should be clenaed up and placed in a museum only to come out on nice Sunday’s so we will be able to see them in 50-years. For a daily driver, you almost need a third car which removes the savings potential and purpose by comparison to today’s excellent and low cost compact and sub-compact offerings.

Good Luck

Charlie, Your math is very spooky cause that's about what i drive in a year and the mpg's are about what i get now-a-days too. I have a short trip to work and except for that and a trip to tenn I don't do much driving. I see people online here and the other sight with there insight and think about having one, but wouldn't be put to use very well.
