Just ran across Honda's Mile Makers website. Found an Insight with 403,000 miles!

The craziest thing is the HCH with 800K on it. But the post is dated almost 18 months ago. He should be cracking 7 digits anytime, based on his previous pace.

If somebody does indeed take an HCH to 1 million miles Honda should be marketing the hell out of that.

I'm gonna have to pick up the pace if I want to be first to a million in an Insight.

And I thought my 14 year old car with almost 250k was doing good.

If my brother would keep one vehicle he'd be around 400K. I am at other end i drive very little.

Mike,

I'm getting acclimated but it gets darn cold here. We've already had several days of negative temperatures and got a foot of snow about a week before Thanksgiving.

I've got all my radiator blocks installed and have heated underground parking. So many people run block heaters here that North Dakota already has a pretty good infrastructure for electric vehicles.

But I do miss Chicago.

As I understand it, the guy with the HCH is courier. Which explains the high miles. I think he is only on his second battery pack. I think Honda should trade him for a new one and then tear the engine down to see what they find. He has a couple of things going for him living in Nevada. He does not drive on salt covered roads very often. And he does not have many cold starts. I wish him luck on the million.
