I thought it was cool they are testing an electric car for use in the fleet, but even more so when I saw it is right hand drive. Someone must have made the decision to have it shipped into the US just to test.

You find some very interesting scoops with that camera of yours. I can picture you out in the Arizona desert with a high powered lens capturing the latest and greatest 2013 models during their hot weather testing in the not too distant future ;)

The Japanese variant of the iMiEV you are seeing is a MFR Temp EPA/DOT cert plated BEV. It will be with them for a few months up to possibly two years but will eventually have to go back to Japan for either sale or destruction :(

I do into believe Mitsubishi has released the DOT certified iMiEV here in the US yet as they will have the bigger bumpers and side impact protection to meet our crash test specs.

Still great to see them in the wild whenever you do!
