Check Engine Light code P1118 in our 2007 Prius
Has anyone received Check Engine Light code P1118? We have had this one come on and off for the last month or so. The code on our reader indicates "Manufacturer Control Fuel Air Metering".

Over on YarisWorld, a fair number of folks (who've usually installed some sort of aftermarket air filter or cold air intake) have reported problems with the MAF sensor in the intake getting fouled. Cleaning it off with a solvent spray generally fixes it. Might look at that.

From the Bentley manual:
P1118:Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit High for Coolant Heat Storage System.
The Trouble areas that it lists are:
-Coolant heat storage tank outlet temperature Sensor
-Short in temperature sensor circuit
-ECM
By it coming and going, I would look for a short circuit in the sensor circuit.
