Nothing would make me happier than seeing the Vikings screwed over by Brent Favre. If viking fans hated him at green bay it's nothing like the hate they'll feel now. :D

I heard just the other day that he is not retiring and if his ankle is fine he is ready to play. That was in an interview from Favre himself so probably accurate.

But, as far as his back and forth crap it needs to stop. If he isn't sure if he is retiring he needs to say he doesn't know and is thinking about it. Not this "I'm retiring" "I'm not retiring" crap. It's just such a distraction to hear that every flippin' off-season.

Reportedly Favre will play - for $24M instead of $13M.

Says it will be his last season (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/08/18/favre-says-2010-will-be-his-last-year-and-he-possibly-means-it/?related=1) - let's see.

Something tells me that if the Vikings got a Pro-Bowl grade QB during this, Favre would be begging to play.

Hi All:

The guy has a talent and has proven that he can play at the highest caliber amongst in the business year after year after year. Who cares what he says or does not say. This is not a Lindsay Louhan (or however you spell her name) watch, is it? When the spikes and helmet goes on, that counts. If he doesn’t play, he doesn’t play. If he does, good for the league and good for the rest of us.

As most know, I am not much of a sports fan but do enjoy a baseball game or two every year, a basketball game or four every year and a football game or six a year. Now that my son goes to Iowa, I am sure Saturday’s will be spent watching the Hawkeyes dominate the Big 10 too ;)

Favre hobbles off after Vikes lose to Packers (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/don_banks/10/25/vikes.packers.insider/index.html?eref=sihp). The season looks so bad some speculate he may retire mid-season or something.

Hi Chuck:

I have to look it up but one of the radio stations was touting Favre’s record game against somebody last week. Never bet against a proven old war horse or you might be stepping in its pile of… ;)
