I have owned my 2006 Barcelona Red Prius for a year now. Picked her up on 06-01-02. Is it to late for me to hang with you guys?

This is my first new car and I love it so much I will never go back to a regular car again.

So far I have put 9500 miles on it.

I'm averaging 59mpg

Best tank is 70.4mpg @ 607.9 miles

Current upgrades and mods...

I have been reading a lot of posts here lately and found some very good information. I want to try to spend some more time over here. Maybe help out a little and learn some new stuff. My new years resolution is to get my tanks posted in the database.

Welcome to CleanMPG!

You seem like a Cars fan. :)

Is that a real smile or a PhotoShop job?

Hi TheForce:

___That was one heck of an introduction! A new Prius owner with Can-View and Carputer on his list plus running a 59 lmpg is not just any ordinary new car owner in my book. Congratulations!

___You just have to post some info on the camera mod(s). I would also like to see a close-up of the custom Prius appliqué on the side and a very detailed post on the underbody partition plates you have installed while you are at it. One of our well-respected members, Tim - Brick, just picked up his Prius II a few weeks ago and is considering a few mods including CAN-View. Our esteemed Admin, Tbaleno is installing a Carputer piecemeal in his HCH-I as I type. Are you looking at a Coastal Tech CAN-View solution or one of the online solutions from scratch?

___I am currently trying to convince the wife that the Prius II or upcoming Prius III is the vehicle of choice for her rather then a loaded up TCH. With a few more pics like those you linked, maybe I can convince her of the error of her ways ;)

___Southern Ohio, ha? Are you heading to Georgetown, KY. For the Camry factory tour in a few weeks as you are not that far away?

___And about the Prius “Cars” Photochop. You are obviously a man of many talents. Is her real name the “Tour De Force” or something similar?

___Ok, enough of the superfluous requests. Get those tanks posted and we will see you back in the forums very soon.

___Good Luck and welcome to CleanMPG.

___Wayne

Thanks everyone.

I spend most of my time over at priuschat.com but I will try to post some of my mods over here too.

I have a CAN-View V4 from http://www.hybridinterfaces.ca in the mail right now. I'm going to try to see if it will work with the in dash Lilliput screen I ordered. Hope to have them by the end of the week to test.

I think I will try to go to the tour of the Georgetown plant. Have to see if I can get anyone to go with me. Only a two hour drive. :)

The Cars picture is a real smile from my car! Just kidding. I made it with Photoshop. I made one for my parents to. They have a white Yaris and it turned out better than mine.

Welcome! I'm really looking forward to reading about how you like the V4 CAN-View. It looks like an incredible tool, though I wish there were a way to make it work with the MFD in the '06-07 rather than having to run it through a separate screen. Oh well, you can't have everything! Happy Prius-ing.
