Since retiring Aug 28, I have tried to not drive my car too much. I went over 1,000 miles today. That's a little less than 4 miles per day, and 27 gallons used. Take that OPEC!:flag:

If that's an average 4-mile trip per drive - that's impressive!

An achievement even if the average trip was considerably longer.

Wow! Are you using a gas stabilizer?

I do use a stabilizer, and only put in 4 gallons at the time. My scooter on the other hand is seeing a lot of use.

Hi Wayne,

I've gone from 1390 miles a month over 266 months of ownership in my old Volvo to 747 miles per month in my Prius.

Best part is fuel mileage was 20 mpg in the Volvo and around 50 mpg in the Prius.

Averaging 69.5 gallons per month in the Volvo vs 15 gallons per month in the Prius. :D

Hi Al:

___Thank you too! To think what would happen if the rest of the world took your lead! I consumed 68 gallons of fuel just to drive that Super Duty form Phoenix to Chicago last month and that was my biggest fuel expenditure since the LA trip in the HS when Ken, Kacey and I consumed over 105 gallons driving to the LA Auto Show and back late last year.

___Good Luck
