I have a long driveway, and when I pull in I slow down to 7mph and go into autostop. I let off the brake just enough to coast and can get up to 18mph before I get to the house. I coast all the way in to the garage without the engine restarting.
I was just wondering is there a limit to how fast one can go in Autostop mode?

Hi Gordon;

We gave that a shot a few years ago and we did not find the practical limit. In that exercise, we had a few HCH-II's doing exactly the same thing without missing a beat. Of course this will only work if you got to the S3 warm-up stage in the first place, and you did not re-power the car.

I found that before I got the last software updates I could coast in Auto Stop for as fast as I could go, but now if I go up to 13mph, the engine cuts back on. Weird.
