According to the MSNBC article (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11812550/), auto leasing is up. Typically, that's the luxury sub 15mpg vehicles. Last August, www.dallasnews.com (http://www.dallasnews.com) detailed how the more affulent communities north of Dallas woud max out their credit cards to get trophy homes and Suburbans, then if there was a layoff - they lose it all. :(

My dream is not the live on the edge, but to have a cushion I would not need to worry about a layoff.

Delta;

Prime example of that is the, {Used-To-Be} Saturn Facility. Now it is called GM Plant number # something. Anyway, when Saturn was Saturn and it was going strong the employees there had Harley's, Boats, New Homes, Suv's Etc. Then the bottom fell out and the (Over-Time) was cut-off and I promise you that this is what happened. Away went it all but the House in most cases. Their overtime that they had become so used to was just taken for Granted and No-One even considered the possibility of the Over-Time being Cut. It was not a pretty site.

Just an Example of what you are saying. It happened, believe me.
