Saw this (http://money.cnn.com/2010/03/05/autos/gilbert_test_rebuttal/index.htm?hpt=C2) and my faith in Toyota is restored.
I've flip-flopped twice now. For most of the unintended acceleration fiasco I've been in Toyota's corner, but I had my doubts once I saw the ABC bit about the SIU prof. that recreated a sudden acceleration incident by mucking with the accel pedal circuits. He made it sound like a short of the right resistance would do the trick.
I said then that the issue would be closed soon one way or another, either by fixing the new-found problem or by debunking the good professor. Turns out it was the latter.
Good thing, cause I just stopped by the dealer today to look at a new Sienna, and I like it a lot. :p
