So I had the opportunity to drive 3 GMs today. It was part of a demo that GM was doing for some local food bloggers, and I happened to do the food thing and the car things. :D
I drove the camaro, malibu, and tahoe. All vehicles were 2010 models, but I can't remember the exact models and any other important details. We were shown about 8 cars and little time for technical questions.
I did not have good luck with the camaro as I only had it for 13 miles. It was 6 speed transmission, and by the time I got a good feel for the car, my time with it was over. I got right at EPA, which was 29 mpg.
The second vehicle I drove was the malibu (22/33), and I was able to squeeze 40 mpg out of it. We had some hilly areas, but overall, the conditions weren't too bad.
And lastly, I drove the tahoe (15/21), which I got 24mpg. It was not easy as we had even more hills, dense traffic, and headwind.
Overall, it was fun. GM is supposed to be contacting me about taking their cars out for longer drives, but we'll see what happens.
