At the Honda dealership, someone told me a guy drive his Insight all over the country to NFL Games and has 300,000 miles on it so far - most I've heard of on a Insight. He assured me it's not John Madden. :D

___That is by far the highest recorded miles I have ever heard of from an Insight. I remember that guy over at IC that was approaching 200 and had a pack replacement but I have never heard of anything near 300K! I wonder if Honda would give him a brand new HCH-II as a no-cost replacement just so they had it to show the world? Toyota did that for that Vancouver Taxi-cab driver a few years back.

I'd like to know more, and since it goes to the NFL Games, they should play the San Diego Chargers fight song. :D

I'll ask if it's still on the original battery pack.

Upon further inquiry, it turns out this silver 300,000-mile Insight still has the original parts, except the IMA pack - original battery pack still in place.

How long did the original pack last? Any info on it?

The IMA box was replaced but the battery pack has not.
