You know, I decided a long time ago that pleasing others just wasn't going to happen. :p

Many years ago, Mad zine had a toon of a middle aged guy giving a hippie a ride.

Hippie is thinking to himself: is this guy a perv?

Middle aged guy thinking to himself: is this dude going to pull a gun on me?

Opposite ends of the spectrum. Generally it's not the same person condeming you in both situations though.
