Can people test the new chat program at http://www.cleanmpg.com/chat1 and let me know your opinions of it?

___This is certainly your month. New site interface and functionality and now new chat! I like the ease to get to the fun buttons and larger font while typing. The logo is rendered in what looks like an 8-bit format under IE. You are asking how it looks right now, right? I tried posting into it and the text went into the Send box but it would not post.

___How is its history, overhead and speed?

So far it looks like it has issues with IE. I don't think we will be using it. I was looking for something a little more stable than our current chat, but this one might take a lot more configuration so It may not be worth the effort at this time.

I would encourage looking for a package that works on plain
ole HTML form-submissions, which work in all browsers...

the problem with regular html form type chat is that you have to refresh manually or it is annoying when you type and it refreshes on you.

If you know of a good one though I'd be happy to look at it.

hmmm. Tried it tonight and could not get it to actually post my typing.

for others having a problem. working with eric apparantly the solution was to clear his browser cache
